Facing another unplanned pregnancy can make it seem like your world has stopped—again. And you’re likely feeling worried about your future. If you don’t want another abortion, you have other options: parenting and adoption.
Read on to learn more about your pregnancy options other than abortion. Or, if you want to talk to someone in person, contact Elevate Pregnancy and Family Resource Center. All appointments and resources are free and private.
Parenting
Parenting might feel impossible. Maybe you’re worried about how you’ll work toward your goals while parenting, or perhaps you don’t have the financial stability or family support you desire. Your feelings and concerns are valid and understandable, but parenting can still be rewarding despite these obstacles.
In fact, your circumstances can change by taking small steps in the right direction—so you shouldn’t let circumstances stop you from parenting.
While only you can decide if parenting is the right choice, the most important question to consider is this: Do I want to parent? If the answer is yes, then you owe it to yourself to fully explore this option.
Adoption
Adoption is an emotionally complex decision that is both difficult and selfless. However, it’s also a choice that is full of options—one of which is whether you want to maintain a relationship with the child and adoptive family.
When thinking through adoption, here are some questions that can help:
- What are my biggest concerns when it comes to adoption?
- What might my life look like if I choose adoption?
- How might I feel if I choose adoption?
While we don’t offer adoption services, we can connect you with a reputable adoption agency in the area to learn more.
